Environmental Engineering Services
Environmental Compliance and PermittingEEC performs audits of industrial and commercial facilities to determine compliance with local, state and federal regulations. We assist clients in developing programs to comply with applicable regulations. EEC also has extensive experience in obtaining regulatory permits and interpreting technical regulations.
Design of Pollution Control Systems
EEC designs systems for controlling air emission and treating contaminated groundwater and process wastewater. We have experience in designing innovative systems for recycling hazardous waste from manufacturing processes. We also design spill containment areas to prevent the release of contaminants to the environment.
Environmental Site Assessments and Investigations
EEC performs environmental site assessments including Phase I and Phase II Audits in accordance with ASTM standards. Site investigations may include soil, surface water, and ground water investigations to determine the presence and/or the extent of contamination. NJDEP Preliminary Site Assessments and Site Investigations are completed as required for ISRA compliance.
Soil and Groundwater Remediation Design and ImplementationEngineering services are provided for the remediation of contaminated soil and ground water. Our remediation specialists develop and perform remedial investigations and feasibility studies as well as remedial action planning. Our personnel stay abreast of the most current remediation technologies as well as understanding the capabilities of conventional remediation methods. The spectrum of our remediation services includes soil vapor extraction, air sparging, bioremediation, soil washing, advanced oxidation, excavation and disposal of hazardous materials, on-site encapsulation, slurry walls, interceptor trenches, and conventional ground water pump and treat systems (air stripping, activated carbon adsorption, etc.).
Underground Storage Tank Management and Closure
EEC provides compliance determination, assessments of tank leakage potential, tank removals, abandonments in place, site assessments for both soil and ground water, site remediation, and obtaining of regulatory case closure approvals.
Design and Integrity Testing of Above Ground Storage Tanks
EEC designs and installs above ground storage tank farms in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and industry standards. We also perform integrity testing of storage tanks.
Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment
EEC performs hazard analysis and risk assessments for processes covered under federal accidental release prevention, OSHA's process safety management, New Jersey's Toxic Catastrophic Prevention Act and other process safety programs. EEC also conducts risk assessment studies to determine appropriate remediation levels necessary at a site to protect human health and the environment.
Process Design Services
EEC provides comprehensive process design services to chemical and allied industries: from expansion and modernization of existing facilities to construction of new facilities from a grassroots level.
Other Services
